
As part of our “jam night” series for the East Bay AR/VR Creators community, we used the photogrammetry app Displayland to 3D scan ourselves. I wasn’t focused on documenting this process myself, but luckily my friend Siciliana Trevino was there to take some photos and video clips.

Within minutes, we had glitchy models of ourselves loaded into Blender.

The photogrammetry was far from perfect, so I brought it into Oculus Medium to fill in some gaps by sculpting them myself from scratch. Tons of opportunity for fun here…

After a simple auto-rigging in Mixamo, I threw myself into Unity as a controllable third-person avatar.
